If you’ve ever wanted to have students create and share YouTube playlists without needing to use a Google account, Cue YouTube is a clean, easy solution. Here is how it works:
- Go to cueyoutube.com
- In the search box, type in a word or phrase and a list of videos will appear below. [Note: You can also paste in a YouTube URL]
- Click on a video to make it appear in the playlist on the right. You can then drag items in the playlist to reorder them. You can also play the video to make sure it is what you want, or click on Remove to delete it from the list.
- Once you are happy with the list, click on Share it at the top of the playlist to get a URL you can give to others.
I like the idea of having students curate a set of videos on a topic that they are researching for class and then sharing that with their group and with me. I love the fact that it is so simple and doesn’t appear to have any ads.
